As a System Software Developer for HighWire Press I get to do all the fun work around here. I do Java and Perl programming, along with the occasional XSLT and XQuery bit. I work almost entirely behind the scenes, writing our infrastructure code that prepares articles for publication.

Additionally, I get to work with the Oxford English Dictionary as the main developer. Since I have always been interested in the English language and its history, this is a personal favorite of mine. (That's the OED code on the screen behind me in the photo, above.)
